Notes on Gear Myler Bits – Flyers on PCAT website of allowable and non allowable bits for Dressage. Bitless Bridles Clip on Reins Treeless Saddles Boots for Riding – Lace up 'All Terrain' style boots with the chunky style sole are not permitted. Shorter lace-up type ones, even if they have smooth soles, are dangerous because they can get caught under the top of the stirrup, so are not permitted. Long lace-up ones are allowed. All riding boots should have full smooth soles with heels. are permitted unless forbidden by rules (e.g. Games) if fitted correctly and safe and suitable for the purpose they are being used for. These are approved by the PCAT but care must be taken that they are attached with the clip's opening to the inside. Bridles known by this name which excludes Hackamores, (these are permissible under EFA rules for show jumping and cross-country) are not approved by the PCAT. A correctly fitted bridle with a bit and reins attached is to be used when riding at Rallies etc. Bitless bridles may only be used if permission is granted from the CC Panel, e.g. for Medical reason. |
